"My City, sounds and emotions" Competition 2013 Τheme : "Paris-Athens: my city is a Soundream"
"What is the heart of a city ? The soul of a city? (...) How do we know a city ? How do you know your city ? " asks the writer and essayist Georges Perec. City dwellers certainly experience that : the city narrates our dreams, our desires, our sorrows, our daily joys. The city is made of emotions and sounds that tell us how to live together… To tell us about your city’s sounds, emotions and images and all this in one minute’s time: this is the challenge that we now offer to you, the citizens of Athens and those of Paris. With only one constraint, to use your mobile phone to tell us about your city and its sounds from the most positive to the most negative ones…
The instructions are simple : fill in the entry form on the web site “Echopolis-days sound”, then sign the arrangement and send your video to “Echopolis-days of sound” online, using the following link.
You can register until August 30, 2013 (22: 00 CET) and send to us your video until September 5 (22: 00 CET).
Sponsored by a French or Greek personality, the competition "My City, sounds and emotions" will also be directed by a jury of artists, audio specialists, representatives of civil society, city professionals, architects, planners and sociologists who will meet in September 2013, in Athens, to award four prizes:
